During another impactful day of the “For the Better: Sustainability” (2024-3-HU01-KA152-YOU-000267485) Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project held in Budapest, participants focused on sustainable waste management and raising environmental awareness within society.

As part of the “Waste Management” activity, young people gained comprehensive knowledge about managing waste without harming the environment, recycling processes, and the conservation of natural resources. Through interactive learning sessions and recycling-themed games, participants explored how proper waste management contributes to environmental sustainability and helps reduce the consumption of valuable natural resources.

In the second part of the day, participants took part in the “Stakeholder Visit” activity, where the project’s objectives, achievements, and ongoing activities were shared with local stakeholders. Through presentations and visual materials, participants showcased what they had learned throughout the project while emphasizing the importance of cooperation among different sectors of society in promoting sustainability.

These activities enabled participants not only to deepen their understanding of environmental issues but also to recognize the value of active citizenship and stakeholder collaboration in building a more sustainable future. By engaging directly with sustainability topics and local stakeholders, the young people gained practical insights into how collective action can create meaningful and lasting environmental change.
