The Bridge of Communication Between Generations / Learning Through Culture and Communication
Shaft Women's Rights Association participated as a partner organisation in “The Bridge of Communication Between Generations,” an Erasmus+ project bringing youth workers together around the theme of intergenerational communication. The project, carried out under the reference 2023-2-TR01-KA153-YOU-000167809, aimed to strengthen communication between generations while supporting youth workers in developing skills that they can use in their daily work with young people.
Throughout the project, participants took part in meeting and team-building activities that encouraged interaction and cooperation. Cultural activities also provided opportunities for youth workers from different countries to share their languages, traditions and experiences. These exchanges helped participants gain new perspectives and encouraged them to reflect on prejudices and assumptions about people from different cultural backgrounds.
Seminars and thematic activities focused on generations, their experiences and the communication challenges that can arise between them. Participants had the opportunity to explore these topics through different methods and reinforce their learning through visual, audio and technological materials. Evaluation activities were also used to reflect on the project process, activities and participants’ learning outcomes.
The project also introduced participants to the Erasmus+ Programme and Youthpass, increasing their awareness of European youth work opportunities and learning recognition. By strengthening communication, empathy and intercultural understanding, The Bridge of Communication Between Generations created a space where youth workers could develop skills to build stronger connections between young people, families and different generations.
